Helton, a five-time All-Star, finally gets his moment in Cooperstown after a six-year wait on the ballot. His .316 lifetime batting average solidifies him as one of the best first basemen of the 2000s.
Leyland, a successful manager with 22 MLB seasons under his belt, was elected by the contemporary era baseball committee. With three Manager of the Year awards and a World Series title with the Marlins, his induction is well-deserved.
