Stuttgart’s sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, has categorically ruled out any summer transfer for midfielder Angelo Stiller, despite interest from numerous clubs across Europe.
The talented holding midfielder impressed during Stuttgart’s second-place finish in the Bundesliga last season, earning his first call-up to the German national team.
Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all been linked with Stiller, but Wohlgemuth is adamant that the 23-year-old is not for sale.
“Stiller has committed to VfB and we value him highly,” Wohlgemuth stated in an interview with BILD. “There is no question of him leaving the club.”
Stiller recently signed a contract extension until 2028, but there are concerns about his future. Bayern Munich remains a strong attraction for the midfielder, especially if Joshua Kimmich departs.
After scoring against Bayern, Stiller publicly apologized to their fans for celebrating, showing respect for his former club.
While Liverpool and Manchester United have shown interest, there is no emotional connection for Stiller. However, the financial incentives may be tempting, with Liverpool particularly appealing as they seek a defensive midfielder.
