Kenzie Morrison, the son of former heavyweight boxing champion Tommy Morrison, has officially signed a multi-fight contract with BKFC to venture into bare-knuckle fighting.
At 34 years old, Morrison brings a remarkable 22-1-2 record to BKFC, with 20 knockouts under his belt, including victories over Hasim Rahman Jr. and BKFC veteran Sam Shewmaker.
In a statement released to the press, Morrison expressed his enthusiasm about joining BKFC, citing the high level of talent within the organization and his eagerness to compete among them.
Continuing the Morrison family legacy, Kenzie follows in the footsteps of his father Tommy, who gained fame in the heavyweight division during the early 1990s, facing off against notable opponents like Ray Mercer, George Foreman, and Lennox Lewis.
Tommy Morrison was also recognized for his portrayal of Tommy “The Machine” Gunn in the 1990 film Rocky V alongside Sylvester Stallone. His passing in 2013 due to cardiac arrest left a void in the boxing world.
Despite starting his boxing career at a later age of 22, Kenzie has carved out a successful path in the sport since turning professional.
While a debut date for Morrison in BKFC is pending, he is anticipated to enter the heavyweight division, where UFC veteran Ben Rothwell currently holds the championship title.
