Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has praised Kylian Mbappe for his transformation during the recent international break, stating that the player has become “a different player” compared to his initial struggles in Spain.
Madrid has faced criticism for their performances this season, with Mbappe’s impact being questioned. Despite scoring seven goals in 11 games, some have doubted whether his presence has truly benefited the team, especially with three goals coming from penalties.
Ahead of Madrid’s upcoming match against Celta Vigo, Ancelotti explained that Mbappe’s slow start was due to fitness issues, which have now been addressed during the break.
“Kylian has taken advantage of this time to improve his physical condition,” Ancelotti stated. “He is in good spirits and ready to make a significant contribution to the team. The break has been beneficial for him, and we can expect to see a different Mbappe moving forward.”
Regarding Mbappe’s tactical role, Ancelotti mentioned that there won’t be major changes, but the player’s fitness has been a focus. The manager expressed confidence in Mbappe’s form and outlook for the upcoming matches.
Mbappe was absent from the French national team due to fitness issues during the break. Recent rumors linking him to a Swedish nightclub incident have been denied by Mbappe and his legal team.
Ancelotti refrained from commenting on the speculation surrounding Mbappe’s off-field activities, emphasizing his focus on the player’s performance on the pitch.
The manager expressed confidence in Mbappe’s dedication to the team and his eagerness to contribute effectively. Ancelotti highlighted Mbappe’s commitment and form in training sessions.
