Chase Elliott Continues His Dominance on Road Courses
Chase Elliott solidified his status as NASCAR’s road course king with his third consecutive victory on a road course at the Daytona road course race. Despite a late caution that erased his 10-second lead, Elliott managed to hold off Denny Hamlin over the final three laps to secure the win.
With this win, Elliott now has two victories this season, adding to his previous win at Charlotte. His prowess on road courses was evident as he previously won at Watkins Glen and the Charlotte roval in 2019. Notably, half of Elliott’s career wins have come on road courses.
