Chelsea is expected to offload players this summer to finance new signings aimed at strengthening specific areas of the team for the upcoming season.
Despite briefly challenging for the Premier League title earlier in the season, Chelsea’s form has dipped, highlighting the need for further improvements.
The team has struggled to find a prolific striker since Diego Costa’s departure, with a new number nine being a top priority.
In addition to a striker, Chelsea is also looking to strengthen their defense and wing positions, but player sales are necessary to make room and raise funds.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is expected to make “seven or eight” players available for sale, including Kepa Arrizabalaga, Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling, and Armando Broja.
Kepa has impressed during his loan spell at Bournemouth, while Disasi is likely to be sold to Aston Villa or another club. Chilwell, Sterling, and Broja are also set to depart, with interest in Kepa from Bournemouth despite Chelsea’s goalkeeping issues.
Another player on the potential sales list is Joao Felix, with AC Milan monitoring the situation. Chelsea could consider selling Felix for the right offer, despite the initial high transfer fee paid by Atletico Madrid.
