Looks like Conor McGregor might be making a comeback soon.
The former two-division UFC champion recently hinted at a potential return to the octagon after a positive conversation with UFC CEO Dana White.
In a tweet, McGregor boasted about his 19 knockouts in MMA and praised White’s ideas. However, fellow fighter Michael Chandler quickly reminded McGregor of a previous conversation they had during The Ultimate Fighter.
Chandler challenged McGregor to follow through on his promise of being his 20th knockout opponent.
McGregor was supposed to face Chandler in June, but a broken toe forced him to withdraw from the fight.
White later suggested that McGregor might return to the octagon in the latter half of 2025 after recovering from his injury.
Chandler, who had been waiting for the McGregor fight for two years, eventually moved on and faced Charles Oliveira at UFC 309, where he suffered a defeat.
Despite the loss, McGregor still seems interested in settling his score with Chandler in the future.
In a deleted tweet, McGregor hinted at a potential rematch with Chandler, using his catchphrase, “see you at the top.”
The rivalry between McGregor and Chandler continues to brew, but it remains uncertain if and when they will face off in the octagon.
