Wang Cong Breaks Records and Earns Bonus at UFC Vegas 96
Wang Cong made a stunning debut in the octagon at UFC Vegas 96, breaking records and earning a well-deserved bonus for her impressive performance.
As a Road to the UFC veteran, Wang made a splash by delivering a brutal knockout to Victoria Leonardo just 62 seconds into the first round. This victory secured her the title of the fastest finish for a debuting flyweight in UFC women’s history and the second-fastest knockout in the history of the UFC women’s flyweight division.
Despite her incredible achievement, Wang was initially disappointed to find out that she did not receive a $50,000 bonus at the end of the night.

Although UFC President Dana White was not present at the event, he caught up on the fights and assured Wang that she would indeed receive the $50,000 bonus she rightfully earned.
“I was out of town and watched the fight at Mystique Boston on TV. You looked AMAZING. I’m adding another [Performance of the Night] bonus for u. Congrats u get $50k”
This is not the first time White has awarded a bonus remotely, and Wang was fortunate that her exceptional performance caught his attention, resulting in her receiving the extra $50,000.
With this win, Wang’s MMA record now stands at an impressive 6-0. She also has a notable kickboxing background, including a victory over former UFC champion Valentina Shevchenko in 2015.
