Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz is gearing up for what could potentially be his final fight inside the octagon.
Sources close to the UFC have revealed that Cruz is slated to take on Rob Font in the co-main event at UFC Seattle on February 22nd. ESPN was the first to break the news about this exciting matchup.
Cruz will be looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Marlon Vera last August at UFC San Diego. Despite this setback, the former champion had previously notched impressive wins over Casey Kenney and Pedro Munhoz. Speculation is rife that Cruz may be considering retirement after this fight, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
On the other hand, Font is coming off a much-needed win against Kyler Phillips at UFC Vegas 99 in October. With 17 UFC appearances under his belt, the Massachusetts native is no stranger to the octagon and will be looking to build on his recent success, including a memorable knockout victory over Adrian Yanez.
The main event at UFC Seattle will feature a clash between former two-division champion Henry Cejudo and Song Yadong, adding even more excitement to an already stacked card.
