Francis Ngannou Dismisses Idea of Boxing Jake Paul
Jake Paul emerged victorious over Mike Tyson in a recent boxing match on Netflix, but UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou is not interested in stepping into the ring with the YouTube star.
When asked about the potential matchup, Ngannou brushed off the idea, stating, “No, no, no, no, c’mon, don’t be silly.”
Instead, Ngannou suggested a cage match between Paul and his brother Logan, emphasizing the need for respect.
Ngannou recently made a successful return to MMA, defeating Renan Ferreira at PFL Battle of the Giants.
Despite their different fighting styles, Ngannou and Paul have shown public support for each other due to their executive roles in the PFL.
Reflecting on the controversial fight between Paul and Tyson, Ngannou defended the entertainment value of the event, emphasizing the curiosity it sparked among viewers.
Ngannou acknowledged the unconventional approach of Paul and his brother, noting that going against traditional institutions can lead to backlash but doesn’t necessarily indicate wrongdoing.
