Draymond Green makes bold Warriors prediction after Jimmy Butler trade: ‘We are going to win the championship’

The Golden State Warriors have seen a significant improvement since acquiring Jimmy Butler. With a 3-1 record with Butler in the lineup, the team has addressed several weaknesses that were holding them back. Prior to the trade, the Warriors struggled to get to the rim or the free-throw line, but those numbers have drastically improved since Butler’s arrival.

One of the most notable changes is the Warriors’ rise from 26th to second in free-throw attempts per game, with Butler accounting for a significant portion of those attempts. Additionally, the team is taking more shots in the restricted area and ranking second in steals per game with Butler on the roster.

This newfound offensive firepower has given the Warriors a boost, as they now have two superstar creators to lead the team. Draymond Green has been vocal about the impact Butler has had on the team, referring to him as a “franchise changer.”

Green’s confidence in the team’s championship potential has been evident, with him boldly stating, “We’re going to win the championship.” While some may view this as a stretch, Green believes that Butler has instilled a winning mentality in the team.

Despite the optimism, the Warriors are currently holding the last play-in spot in the Western Conference with a 28-27 record. While they have secured impressive wins with Butler in the lineup, there is still work to be done to reach championship contention.

Stephen Curry has embraced Green’s championship guarantee, expressing his excitement for the team’s elevated expectations. While a title may still be out of reach this season, the Warriors are undoubtedly a stronger and more dangerous team with Butler leading the way.
