England is gearing up to host West Indies for a thrilling series of three Tests, as part of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. The first Test of the series will also witness the retirement of veteran England fast bowler James Anderson, bidding adieu to a glorious international career.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has unveiled their playing XI for the series opener scheduled from July 10 to July 14 at the iconic Lord’s in London.

The seasoned campaigners Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett will open the innings for the hosts, while Harry Brook and all-rounder Chris Woakes make their return to the side. The leadership role will be shouldered by Ben Stokes, with the 41-year-old James Anderson making his final appearance for England alongside Gus Atkinson in the pace attack.
