Cesc Fabregas reflects on the coaches who influenced his playing career the most.

Among them, he credits Arsene Wenger for teaching him patience, Jose Mourinho for instilling bravery, but reserves the highest praise for Pep Guardiola, whom he considers the coach that had the most significant impact on his career.

Currently serving as the head coach of Serie A team Como, Fabregas, now 37, looks back on his time under Guardiola at Barcelona with admiration. In an interview with ESPN, he highlights Guardiola’s tactical acumen and ability to provide solutions for his players on the pitch.

Cesc Fabregas: “Tactically, Pep [Guardiola] is who I learned most from. He always studied opponents, knew exactly what they could do, give solutions. This is what I try to bring for the players… Pep helped me a lot in this way to understand different things…” [via @ESPNFC]

Fabregas also shares insights from his time under Wenger at Arsenal, praising the French manager’s patience and emphasizing the importance of nurturing players over quick results.

Furthermore, he acknowledges Jose Mourinho’s impact at Chelsea, highlighting his bold decision-making and astute management of the dressing room.

Overall, Fabregas appreciates the diverse coaching styles he encountered throughout his career, each contributing to his growth as a player and now as a coach himself.
