Recent reports from various media outlets suggest that an FIR has been filed against the Bengaluru branch of One8 Commune, a restaurant chain co-owned by the Indian cricketer, for operating beyond the permissible time as per government regulations.
What transpired at the One8 Commune branch in Bengaluru?
According to multiple news sources, the Bengaluru Police conducted a special operation to identify establishments such as restaurants, bars, and pubs that were violating the state government’s nighttime regulations. Among the 3-4 venues found in breach of the law was One8 Commune, owned by Kohli.
The authorities discovered that the club was serving customers at approximately 1:20 AM on Saturday, July 6, well past the mandated closing time of 1 AM.

The One8 Commune restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the Ratlam Complex on Kasturba Road, in close proximity to the Chinnaswamy Stadium, home to the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
DCP Central BK Shekhar informed the media that they had received complaints about loud music emanating from various establishments and took prompt action.
We have cited around 3-4 pubs for operating beyond the permissible time until 1:30 AM last night. Complaints were received regarding loud music. Pubs were only permitted to operate until 1 AM and not beyond. Further investigations are ongoing.
