Football Manager 25 has been delayed until March next year to ensure that developers can provide users with the best possible experience.
This marks the second time the game’s launch has been postponed as it undergoes a major overhaul.
In a blog post, FM admin explained: “After careful consideration, Sports Interactive has made the difficult decision to delay the release of Football Manager 25.
“Following discussions with SEGA, our licensors, and partners, we have collectively agreed that delaying the launch until March 2025 is the best course of action. Specific platform release dates will be announced once confirmed. As mentioned in our previous development update in September, we needed to postpone the original release of FM25 to give ourselves more time to deliver the best possible experience for this new era of Football Manager.
We have made the tough decision to delay the release of Football Manager 25 until March 2025.

“However, the additional time has not been sufficient to ensure that the game quality and experience meet both your expectations and our high standards.
“As mentioned in our previous blog post, this has been a challenging development cycle for the studio. Many aspects have been progressing slower than anticipated, despite the team’s hard work to meet deadlines.
“The timelines were already tight, and, as many of you have rightly pointed out, we were rushing too much and risking compromising our usual standards. This has placed immense pressure on everyone at the studio, who are all dedicated to delivering the best game possible.
“FM25 represents a significant technical and visual advancement in the series. We cannot jeopardize this important milestone in Football Manager’s history by rushing its release in November.
“We understand that this news will be disappointing for you. We share in that disappointment and sincerely apologize.”
