Southgate, who led the national football team for eight years, has now moved on from his managerial role.

He was spotted in the stands, enjoying the cricket action as England continued to dominate the match. His presence at the ground caught the attention of many on social media as well.

How did England perform on Day 3 Morning?
On the third day, England increased their lead to a commanding 482 runs as Joe Root scored another century, solidifying his place in history.
The English team added 226 runs to their overnight total despite Sri Lanka’s efforts. They were bowled out for 251 runs, setting a target of 483 for Sri Lanka.

Ben Duckett, who was not out overnight, was dismissed for 24 after a relay catch by Angelo Mathews. Captain Ollie Pope fell to a short ball, caught out on the off-side.
Harry Brook survived a dropped catch and added 58 runs with Joe Root before being dismissed for 38. As the match progresses, England maintains the upper hand.
