It seems like deja vu as former New Orleans Saints wide receiver A.T. Perry has been signed to the Denver Broncos’ practice squad, according to a report by Nick Underhill.
Perry, who was drafted by the Saints in the 6th round (195th overall) of the NFL Draft last year, made an impact during his time in New Orleans with 12 receptions for 246 yards and 4 touchdowns in 10 games.

Perry’s release from the Saints came as a surprise, but head coach Dennis Allen clarified that it was a roster management decision due to injuries. Allen expressed confidence in Perry’s abilities and mentioned the possibility of him returning through the waiver claim process.
Despite initial expectations of Perry returning to New Orleans, he will now reunite with former Saints coach Sean Payton and other familiar faces in Denver, including his former offensive coordinator, Pete Carmichael.
With the Saints set to face the Broncos next Thursday at Caesars Superdome, it is likely that Perry will be activated to the active roster for the matchup against his former team.
