Kai Havertz scored as Germany kicked off their Nations League campaign with a dominant 5-0 victory over Hungary in Dusseldorf.
Julian Nagelsmann’s team, missing key players like Manuel Neuer, Ilkay Gundogan, Toni Kroos, and Thomas Muller, took a 1-0 lead at halftime thanks to Niclas Fullkrug’s goal.
Jamal Musiala doubled the lead 13 minutes into the second half, with Florian Wirtz and Aleksander Pavlov also finding the net before Havertz sealed the win from the penalty spot.
In League A, Group 3, the Netherlands also scored five goals to defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina 5-2.
Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee opened the scoring, but Ermedin Demirovic equalized for the visitors before Tijjani Reijnders, Cody Gakpo, Edin Dzeko, Wout Weghorst, and Xavi Simons added to the scoreline.

Georgia and Albania secured wins in League B, Group 1, with Georgia defeating the Czech Republic 4-1 and Albania coming from behind to beat Ukraine 2-1.
England triumphed 2-0 against the Republic of Ireland in League B, Group 2, while Greece dominated Finland 3-0.
