Manager Fabian Hurzeler of Brighton has expressed his willingness to allow Evan Ferguson and Julio Enciso to go out on loan this January.
Both players, who have been highly rated, have seen limited playing time for the Seagulls this season following their return from long-term injuries.
Latest on Evan Ferguson’s Transfer
Evan Ferguson is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, including West Ham and Bournemouth, both of whom are in need of a striker.
The Republic of Ireland international joined Brighton when current West Ham manager Graham Potter was in charge, aiming to fill the void left by the injured Michail Antonio.
Similarly, Bournemouth is without a No9 following Evanilson’s season-ending injury earlier this month.
Speaking about Ferguson’s future, Hurzeler stated, “We will discuss what’s best for his development and where he can improve the most, and then we will decide together.”
He added, “The Premier League is a great platform for young players to develop due to its competitiveness and intensity.”
Despite interest from other clubs, Hurzeler emphasized the importance of player development at Brighton.
Ferguson has made 12 league appearances this season, starting only two games and scoring one goal.
Update on Julio Enciso’s Transfer
Julio Enciso recently scored his first goal for Brighton in their FA Cup victory over Norwich, but has also had limited Premier League starts.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Atalanta in the current transfer window.
Hurzeler praised Enciso’s abilities and commitment to Brighton, stating, “Julio has a unique profile that benefits the team in various situations.”
He added, “While we are pleased to have him at the club, we must always consider the best path for the individual player’s development.”
