Cristiano Ronaldo recently celebrated his two-year anniversary with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, expressing his ambition to win more titles in the future.

The renowned Portuguese player, honored as the Best Middle East Player of 2024 at the Globe Soccer Awards, has been in exceptional form, scoring 74 goals in 83 matches since joining the club on a free transfer in January 2023.

Reflecting on his time in Riyadh, Ronaldo, who will soon turn 40, shared his thoughts with the league’s official media outlet.

He mentioned, “I am content, and my family is content. We have embarked on a new journey in this captivating country. Life is good, and football is flourishing.”

“Both individually and collectively, we are progressing and striving for excellence,” he added.

With a remarkable career tally of over 900 goals and holding the record for the most international goals scored by a male player, Ronaldo also commended the growth of the Saudi Pro League since his arrival.

“It is an honor for me to witness the league’s development and the influx of prominent players that have enhanced its competitiveness,” Ronaldo remarked.

“Being one of the first high-profile players to come here is a privilege, but what excites me is the league’s continuous improvement over the next five to ten years. Not only the first teams but also the youth academies,” Ronaldo emphasized.

“My aspiration is for the league to progress and compete with other top leagues. This is my vision, and I am committed to supporting the country and the league in achieving that standard,” he added.

Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo played a pivotal role in securing the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023.

Despite falling short of additional trophies last season, he made history by netting a record-breaking 35 goals in his first full Saudi Pro League campaign.

Looking back on his accomplishments, Ronaldo stated, “Winning titles brings ease, and lifting my first trophy in my debut season here was truly remarkable.”

“However, my hunger for success remains insatiable. I will continue to push and lead Al Nassr towards more victories. I believe this year holds promise for Al Nassr,” he expressed optimistically.

“Competing with formidable teams like Al Hilal and Al Ittihad is challenging, but we are resilient and determined. Football is a rollercoaster of highs and lows, but for me, professionalism, dedication, and belief in change are paramount. I am committed to helping Al Nassr clinch more titles,” Ronaldo affirmed.

“Winning the AFC Champions League is a personal goal, but the ultimate focus is on perseverance and professionalism,” he concluded.
