Joel Embiid has made his return to the court for the Philadelphia 76ers after a 15-game absence due to foot and knee injuries. The former MVP center will be available for Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
On the other side, the Mavericks will be without Anthony Davis, who was ruled out for the game due to a lingering abdominal strain. However, there is a possibility that Davis could be back in action for Thursday’s NBA Finals rematch against the Celtics.
Despite Davis’ absence, the upcoming Mavericks-Celtics game will have a different feel following the trade of Luka Dončić to the Lakers. The Mavericks will once again be playing shorthanded after dealing Dončić.
The 76ers, who have struggled this season with a record of 19-29, are aiming to climb the ranks in the Eastern Conference with the return of Embiid. Despite his limited appearances this season, Embiid has been a key player for Philadelphia, averaging 24.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and one block per game.
Additionally, the 76ers will be without Paul George for Tuesday’s game, as the forward continues to recover from a tendon injury in his left pinkie finger. George has missed 19 games this season since joining the team in the offseason.
