Joselyne Edwards kicked off UFC on ESPN 66 with an explosive first-round finish against Chelsea Chandler.
In the opening bout of the evening in the women’s bantamweight division at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo., Edwards (15-6 MMA, 6-4 UFC) quickly took the fight to the mat and showcased her ground game.
As the fight returned to standing, Edwards unleashed a barrage of punches and a powerful left hook that sent Chandler to the canvas. With Chandler covering up, the referee stepped in to stop the fight via TKO at the 2:31 mark of Round 1.

Following her victory, a jubilant Edwards expressed her readiness to climb to the top of the 135-pound division.
“We had a game plan and executed it perfectly,” Edwards shared through an interpreter in her post-fight interview with Paul Felder. “As the first and only Panamanian in the organization, I dream of bringing the UFC to Panama. I’m on the path to the championship.”
