Harry Kane reflects on reaching 100 England caps, a milestone he never imagined during his loan spells at Millwall, Norwich, and Leicester.

The top goalscorer for Tottenham and England started his career at Leyton Orient before embarking on loan moves from Spurs.

Now, after 12 years, the 31-year-old celebrated his century cap with two goals, showcasing his talent and dedication.

Speaking after the victory against Finland in the UEFA Nations League, Kane expressed his pride and determination to continue scoring goals for his country.

He credited his self-belief and learning from past experiences, particularly under Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs.

“I always trust in my ability to score goals,” Kane said.

He acknowledged the evolution of the game and his excitement for the future, emphasizing the importance of proving doubters wrong and maintaining a hunger for success.

Kane also praised his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold and the team’s performance under the new manager, Lee Carsley.

Carsley’s Impact

While Kane’s milestone grabbed headlines, attention also turned to Lee Carsley’s second game as interim England boss.

Under his leadership, the team secured another victory and clean sheet, highlighting Carsley’s positive influence on the squad.

Carsley commended Kane for his work ethic, leadership, and adaptability on the field, setting a high standard for the rest of the players.

“Harry’s habits and commitment are exemplary, making him a role model for the team,” Carsley stated.

Reflecting on his tenure with England so far, Carsley acknowledged the challenges and the team’s progress in implementing their strategies successfully.

He emphasized the need for continuous improvement and maintaining high standards to build on their recent successes.
