New York Knicks guard Miles “Deuce” McBride became a hero at West Virginia University on Friday.
During an appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show,” McBride, a former basketball player at West Virginia, was challenged to make a deep shot in order for McAfee’s show to cover the remainder of a student’s tuition.
When asked if the shot was as far as a half-court shot in the NBA, McBride replied, “It’s pretty far.”
Without hesitation, McBride lined up the shot and made it, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Following the impressive shot, McAfee and the crowd started chanting, “Deuce! Deuce!”

McBride showed significant improvement as a shooter last season, increasing his three-point shooting percentage from 29% in 2022-23 to 41% on over three attempts per game.
Thanks to his improved shooting, one fortunate WVU student’s tuition is now covered.
