LeBron James, the superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers, is known for speaking his mind but rarely sits down for extended interviews about all things NBA. However, he recently made an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” where he discussed various topics.

During the hour-long interview, James talked about his relationship with Michael Jordan, his thoughts on ESPN journalist Brian Windhorst, the trade that brought Luka Dončić to the Lakers, and his feud with Stephen A. Smith.

James has always admired Jordan and originally wore No. 23 as a tribute to the Bulls legend. Despite not talking much now, James believes their relationship will improve after he retires from the NBA, attributing it to Jordan’s intense competitive spirit.

The Lakers star also addressed his feud with Stephen A. Smith, clarifying that Smith missed the point of their conversation and joking about Smith’s reaction to their on-court confrontation.

James didn’t hold back when discussing ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst, mocking their supposed friendship and calling him “weird.” Despite attending the same high school, James finds Windhorst’s coverage of him to be off-putting.

Regarding the trade that brought Dončić to the Lakers, James acknowledged the shock it must have been for the young player and emphasized the importance of Dončić being true to himself for the team’s success.

In response to criticism from older NBA players about his ability to excel in previous eras, James confidently stated that his game would translate to any era, given his impressive career achievements.

Overall, LeBron James’ candidness and confidence shine through in his discussions on “The Pat McAfee Show,” providing insight into his relationships, challenges, and unwavering belief in his own abilities.
