Manchester United kicked off life without Erik ten Hag with an impressive 5-2 victory over Leicester in the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils put on a dominant display at Old Trafford, under the interim management of Ruud van Nistelrooy, securing the win in style.
Casemiro opened the scoring with a superb goal 15 minutes into the game, followed by another goal before Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes found the back of the net for Man Utd.
Although Leicester managed to pull one back through Bilal El Khannous, they struggled to keep up with the pace set by the home team.
Conor Coady’s goal just before halftime added some tension to the match, but Fernandes completed his brace in the second half to seal the victory for a rejuvenated Man Utd side.
This win secures their spot in the quarter-final draw of the Carabao Cup.

The game started with United controlling possession, eventually leading to Casemiro’s opening goal after a well-crafted move involving Garnacho.
Garnacho’s skillful play down the left set up Fernandes, who cleverly assisted Casemiro for a stunning long-range strike to put United ahead.

Leicester managed to pull one back through El Khannouss, but Fernandes quickly responded with a deflected free-kick to restore United’s two-goal advantage.
Casemiro added another goal before halftime, but Leicester fought back with Coady scoring just before the break to make it 4-2.
In the second half, Fernandes capitalized on a mistake by Leicester’s Okoli to complete his brace and secure a comfortable 5-2 lead for United.
