After losing the past two games against the MLS All-Stars, Liga MX has finally emerged victorious.
The Liga MX All-Stars secured a commanding 4-1 victory over the MLS All-Stars in their match at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday night. This win comes after the MLS All-Stars defeated the Mexican team in penalty kicks in 2021 and with a 2-1 win in the 2022 edition of the game, which was played against Arsenal.
Although it was just an exhibition match, it served as a preview for the upcoming Leagues Cup, where MLS clubs will face off against Liga MX teams starting Friday. In 2023, Inter Miami clinched the in-season tournament title after a victory over Nashville in the championship game, thanks to the addition of Lionel Messi.
