Millwall secured a comfortable victory over Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Cup third round at The Den, with Mihailo Ivanovic, Casper De Norre, and Ra’ess Bangura-Williams all getting on the scoresheet.
Ivanovic opened the scoring with a scrappy header in the 30th minute, before De Norre doubled Millwall’s lead with a well-taken volley from Joe Bryan’s cross. Bangura-Williams, who recently signed a professional deal with the club, marked his debut with a goal to seal the win for The Lions.
Millwall Progress to Fourth Round
The victory was Alex Neil’s first since taking over as Millwall manager and sees the team advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup for the first time in four seasons. They will face Leeds United in the next round, a top-tier team currently sitting 23 points above them in the table.
Dagenham & Redbridge’s FA Cup journey came to an end after an impressive run that included wins against Wimbledon and Crewe Alexandra.
