Lonzo Ball’s NBA comeback has hit a roadblock as he is set to miss at least 10 days due to a wrist injury.
Fortunately, this injury is not related to his previous knee issues that plagued him for the past few seasons with the Chicago Bulls.
The Chicago Bulls confirmed on Tuesday that Ball sustained a sprained right wrist during their recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He will undergo a reevaluation after 10 days to assess the extent of the injury.
Ball made his return this season after being sidelined for the entire 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons due to a series of knee injuries. He underwent multiple procedures on his left knee, including arthroscopic debridement surgery and cartilage and meniscus transplants.
Despite the setbacks, Ball was cleared to play at the start of this season and has been contributing to the Bulls’ performance on the court. In his first three games, he averaged 4.7 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Both Ball and the Bulls are hopeful that he will make a speedy recovery from his current wrist injury and return to action soon.
