Bernhard Langer bid farewell to Augusta National Golf Club after missing the cut in his 41st and final Masters appearance. Despite the disappointment, Langer was grateful for the support from the crowd and his family as he took his last walk from the 18th green to the clubhouse.
Reflecting on his career, Langer expressed gratitude for the success he achieved, including two Masters victories and a place in the World Golf Hall of Fame. He acknowledged that, at 67 years old, he can no longer keep up with the younger players on the PGA Tour.
Although Langer narrowly missed the cut this year, he showed that he can still compete at a high level. He may not have a chance to win another green jacket, but his love for the game and desire to compete remain strong.
As he prepares to step away from competitive golf, Langer plans to stay involved in the sport and continue to enjoy the Masters experience with his family. While his playing days may be coming to an end, his legacy as one of golf’s all-time greats will live on.
