LAS VEGAS — Mauricio Ruffy is currently the front runner for the Knockout of the Year in 2025 following his impressive performance at the latest UFC pay-per-view event.
Ruffy went up against veteran King Green in the lightweight main card opener at UFC 313, held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight started off slowly but escalated quickly when Ruffy executed a stunning spinning heel kick to Green’s head, sending him crashing to the mat just over two minutes into the match.
The remarkable knockout by the Fighting Nerds standout garnered high praise from his fellow UFC colleagues, with many predicting that Ruffy will claim the title for the best knockout of 2025.
