The Minnesota Timberwolves secured a thrilling 116-113 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in a physical showdown, taking a commanding 3-1 series lead. Star guard Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with an impressive 43-point performance, overshadowing Luka Dončić’s 38-point effort for the Lakers.

Despite an unconventional decision to play the entire second half without substitutions, the Lakers came up short in the end. The game was a nail-biter, but a successful challenge by Minnesota in the final seconds sealed their comeback victory.

While the Lakers held a slim lead in the first half, Minnesota surged ahead heading into halftime. Julius Randle’s clutch three-pointer gave the Timberwolves the lead at the break. Randle finished with 25 points, following a remarkable 21-point first half.

The Lakers started the second half with a strong run, but the Timberwolves fought back, fueled by Edwards’ standout performance. A crucial three-pointer from Naz Reid narrowed the gap, sparking Minnesota’s comeback.

Minnesota extended their lead in the final minutes, with key plays from Donte DiVincenzo and Jaden McDaniels. Despite a late push from the Lakers, Minnesota held on for the win.

Both teams displayed resilience in a physical game, with players hitting the floor multiple times. The series now shifts back to Los Angeles for what promises to be an intense Game 5.
