Joe Harris, a sharpshooter in the NBA for a decade, has decided to retire after a successful career. The Brooklyn Nets, where he spent seven seasons, bid farewell to him on social media, acknowledging his achievements. Harris will be remembered as one of the most accurate 3-point shooters in NBA history, finishing with the fifth-highest shooting percentage from beyond the arc at 43.5%.

Throughout his career, Harris maintained averages of 10.3 points and three rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of 47.9%. He was drafted 33rd overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2014 NBA Draft after a standout collegiate career at the University of Virginia. His college accolades included being a two-time All-ACC member and winning the ACC Tournament MVP in 2014.

After a slow start in Cleveland, Harris found his footing with the Brooklyn Nets in 2016, eventually becoming a key starter and leading the league in 3-point shooting percentage. Despite battling injuries towards the end of his career, Harris continued to showcase his sharpshooting skills and was a valuable asset to his teams.

At just 32 years old, Harris could have played longer, but he has chosen to retire and leave behind a legacy as one of the top shooters in the league. His achievements, including winning the Three-Point Contest in 2019, and his contributions to playoff runs with the Nets, will not be forgotten.
