As the MLB Trade Deadline approaches in just one month, the New York Yankees have been at the center of numerous trade conversations and blockbuster deal proposals.
A recent trade proposal from The Athletic involving the Yankees has sparked interest. Chris Kirschner, Jim Bowden, and Brendan Kuty discussed potential trade scenarios, including one that would see the Yankees acquiring former All-Star Jazz Chisholm Jr., a versatile player from the Miami Marlins.
In this proposed deal, the Yankees would trade away Nestor Cortes, Brock Selvidge, and Roderick Arias in exchange for Chisholm. While Chisholm has not replicated his All-Star performance from 2022 due to injury setbacks, his versatility in playing both second base and centerfield could be a valuable addition to the Yankees, especially in supporting Aaron Judge.
Although Chisholm’s offensive numbers have been more average in recent seasons, he remains a promising player at 26 years old with arbitration eligibility through 2026.
With the Yankees frequently in trade discussions, Chisholm’s name has now emerged as a potential target for the team.
