Manchester City unveiled a new fourth shirt this morning, inspired by the iconic Oasis album Definitely Maybe.
Co-designed by Noel Gallagher, the shirt will be worn in select European matches, including the upcoming Champions League game against Inter Milan.
The album Definitely Maybe, which marked the beginning of Oasis’s success, was released 30 years ago. Gallagher expressed his excitement about collaborating with his favorite team on this special shirt.
Speaking to City Studios, he said, “It’s a proper honor. When the guys from Puma approached us at one of the games, I took about five seconds to agree to it. It’s the same color palette as the cover of Definitely Maybe. I think it’s unique, striking, and looks great.”
Gallagher reminisced about the album, saying, “Definitely Maybe has never lost its magic to me. It makes me smile and reminds me of the great times we had. It’s amazing to see its legacy live on through this football kit.”
Gallagher also praised the transformation at City under Sheikh Mansour’s ownership, reflecting on memorable moments with the team.
