Paddy Pimblett made a lasting impression at UFC 314, earning praise from UFC CEO Dana White.
In a career-defining fight, Pimblett (23-3 MMA, 7-0 UFC) showcased his skills and defeated former Bellator champion Michael Chandler (23-9 MMA, 2-4 UFC) with a third-round TKO in the co-main event of the UFC pay-per-view held at Kaseya Center.
White sees this victory as a significant moment for Paddy “The Baddy,” proving his critics wrong and solidifying his place in the UFC.
“Despite the doubts, Paddy Pimblett continues to impress with each fight,” White expressed during the post-fight press conference. “Tonight, he showed that he is the real deal by defeating Michael Chandler in such a convincing manner. There’s no questioning his talent now.”
Following the bout, Pimblett set his sights on facing top contenders in the division, including Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, and Arman Tsarukyan.
White shares Pimblett’s confidence and believes that exciting matchups are on the horizon for him.
“He’s earned the right to face the best in the division,” White acknowledged.
