In a stunning display of skill, Stevie Ray executed a “Scottish Twister” to potentially end his career on a high note at PFL Europe 3 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Despite coming into the fight on a three-fight losing streak, Ray took center stage in his home country to face Lewis Long after losses to Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Natan Schulte, and Clay Collard in previous PFL seasons.
Ray once again showcased his impressive jiu-jitsu skills by securing a Twister submission from his back, forcing Long to tap out with only 36 seconds remaining in the opening round.
Reflecting on his performance, Ray mentioned, “Maybe one more [fight].”
Witness the epic finish in the video below.
Ray, who had previously defeated former UFC and WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis with the same move in 2022, concludes his MMA career with a record of 26-13. Known as “Braveheart,” Ray achieved a 7-4 record in the UFC and 3-4 in the PFL, securing victories over notable opponents such as Michael Johnson, Joe Lauzon, and Ross Pearson.
