Addressing the Indian diaspora in Russia, PM Modi highlighted India’s World Cup win, praising the determination of today’s youth to never give up until the last moment, much like the Indian team in the Final.
“Today’s youth and the youth of India do not give up till the last ball and last moment. The victory kisses those feet who are not ready to give up.”
He also wished luck to the athletes participating in the 2026 Olympics in Paris, expressing his confidence in their abilities.

Reflecting on the Final against South Africa, where India turned the game around from a precarious position, PM Modi commended the team’s resilience and spirit.
