Reports suggest that Claudio Ranieri, the former manager of Leicester City who led them to a historic Premier League title in 2016, is set to make a comeback in football by taking charge of AS Roma.
The 73-year-old Italian is rumored to be in discussions for a return to the Serie A side, where he previously managed from 2009 to 2011 and then again in 2019.
Ranieri retired from management after leaving Cagliari at the end of last season, but it seems he is ready to return to the dugout at Stadio Olimpico.
Roma has been struggling with managerial changes this season, with Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric both being relieved of their duties in quick succession.
During his time at Roma, Ranieri guided the team to a second-place finish in the 2009-10 season, narrowly missing out on the title to Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan.
Ranieri’s extensive managerial career has seen him take charge of top clubs like Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Napoli, bringing his wealth of experience to his new role at Roma.
