RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose has issued a warning to Barcelona, urging them to improve their offer if they want to secure the services of midfielder Dani Olmo. While personal terms have been agreed between the player and Barcelona, the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. Barcelona’s initial offer of €61m, spread out over a payment plan, has not impressed Leipzig.

In response to Barcelona’s offer, Rose emphasized Olmo’s value to the club, stating that the player has earned his worth through his development and performance. He stressed the importance of recognizing Olmo’s value and meeting the club’s conditions for a potential transfer.

Leipzig’s sporting director Rouven Schroder echoed Rose’s sentiments, highlighting Olmo’s significance both on and off the pitch. Schroder made it clear that Leipzig is not under pressure to sell Olmo and expects the player to return after his break following the Euros.

Rose and Leipzig’s executive Johann Plenge have reiterated their commitment to retaining Olmo, with Plenge affirming that the club will not sell any player below their true value.

The negotiations between Barcelona and Leipzig continue, with both clubs standing firm on their respective positions. As the transfer saga unfolds, Olmo’s future remains uncertain, but one thing is clear – Barcelona will need to up their offer if they want to bring the talented midfielder to Camp Nou.
