Real Betis CEO Ramon Alarcon has acknowledged the “possibility” of making Antony’s loan move from Manchester United permanent following the Brazilian’s impressive start at the club in Seville.
Antony, who struggled for game time at Manchester United, made a loan switch to Betis in January and has already made an impact by being voted MVP in his first two matches despite the team’s results.
In contrast to his Premier League career, where he had limited opportunities, Antony has expressed his satisfaction with playing regularly at Betis and contributing to the team’s performances.
Betis’ loan deal for Antony could potentially turn into a permanent transfer, with Alarcon indicating positive discussions with Manchester United about the player’s future.
Alarcon mentioned, “The other day the CEO of United contacted me, and we have been in communication about Antony’s progress. There is a good relationship between the clubs, and we are open to the possibility of him staying beyond this season.”
While Antony remains undecided about his future, he emphasizes the importance of playing regularly and contributing to Betis’ success.
Antony stated, “I am pleased with my performance so far and grateful for the opportunity to play. I want to continue working hard to help the team achieve more victories.”
