COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – The anticipated fight between Paddy Pimblett and Renato Moicano may have to wait, as Pimblett’s recent victory over Michael Chandler has catapulted him into the top-five of the lightweight rankings.
Moicano, who previously held the No. 10 spot, acknowledges that a matchup with Pimblett is not on the horizon at the moment. Despite their past exchanges of trash talk, Moicano has a different perspective following Pimblett’s recent success.
While Moicano awaits the arrival of his baby in late May, he remains open to facing any opponent regardless of ranking. His focus is on getting back into the octagon after the birth of his child.
As for Pimblett, UFC seems to have big plans for him, with potential matchups against the likes of Charles Oliveira or Justin Gaethje in the future.
