Exciting Flyweight Matchup Headlines UFC’s Return to Canada
UFC fans in Canada have something to look forward to as Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield are set to headline an event at the Rogers Place in Edmonton on Nov. 2.
The highly anticipated five-round headliner between Namajunas and Blanchfield is expected to be a thrilling showdown as both fighters aim to make their mark in the flyweight division.
Despite recent setbacks against Manon Fiorot, Blanchfield and Namajunas are determined to bounce back and prove themselves as top contenders in the division. Namajunas, in particular, has shown her resilience with back-to-back wins following her debut loss.
In addition to the main event, fans can also look forward to a heavyweight co-main event featuring Derrick Lewis taking on Alexandr Romanov. Lewis, known for his knockout power, will be looking to continue his winning streak, while Romanov aims to bounce back from a recent loss.
Other exciting matchups on the card include Ariane Da Silva facing off against Canadian favorite Jasmine Jasudavicius in a flyweight bout, and Marc-Andre Barriault taking on Dustin Stoltzfus in a middleweight showdown.
Canadian fighter Jamey-Lyn Horth will also be in action against Ivana Petrovic, while The Ultimate Fighter finalist Cody Gibson makes his return against Chad Anheliger.
