Brady believes he’s the most worthy of a title tilt against the winner of Muhammad vs. Rakhmonov, cementing his status as a legitimate threat to the UFC welterweight title. Jack Della Maddalena is set to face off against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 315 in May. Brady, confident in his skills, believes his resume is more impressive than Rakhmonov’s, citing wins over top fighters like Gilbert Burns and Leon Edwards. Despite Rakhmonov’s recent win over Ian Garry, Brady feels he deserves a shot at the title next.
Unfortunately for Rakhmonov, a planned title fight with Muhammad fell through due to injury, leading to Della Maddalena stepping in to take his place. Brady is open to facing either the winner or loser of the title fight, or even Rakhmonov himself if necessary.
Brady is not interested in facing Garry, who he feels doesn’t deserve a fight with him after losing his last bout. With his sights set on bigger opportunities, Brady is focused on his upcoming fight with Rakhmonov and potentially challenging for the title in the future.
