Sutton faced a warrant for his arrest in Florida following an alleged domestic violence incident with his girlfriend in March. He surrendered himself at the end of March, with the initial felony charges reduced to misdemeanor battery.
Following the news, the Detroit Lions released Sutton just one year after signing him to a three-year contract. However, the Steelers re-signed their former cornerback to a one-year deal in early June.
