It’s quite surprising to think that the Philadelphia 76ers might face stiff competition in retaining Kyle Lowry, but the Phoenix Suns are indeed making a strong push.
According to Suns reporter Gerald Bourguet, there is still a possibility of Lowry joining the Suns, but a return to Philly remains on the table.
Couple of free agency updates:
The Suns are actively working on re-signing Josh Okogie, with other teams showing interest, but Phoenix is confident in keeping him. As for Kyle Lowry, discussions are ongoing, and a reunion with the Sixers is a possibility.

It’s hard to envision Lowry leaving his hometown of Philadelphia, especially with the Sixers geared up for a championship run after landing Paul George. On the other hand, the Suns are sticking with their core trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.
If Lowry were to choose Phoenix over Philly, it would likely be due to a more lucrative contract. The Sixers are aiming to stay below the luxury tax threshold, potentially offering Lowry a veteran’s minimum. In contrast, the Suns have a higher payroll and may be willing to exceed the luxury tax for the right player.
