Deadpool and Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds, now playing in theaters worldwide, marks Reynolds’ entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Hugh Jackman’s iconic Wolverine. The film is packed with cameos, including nods to Wrexham AFC, the EFL League One team owned by Reynolds.

In one of the cameos, Rob McElhenney, co-owner of Wrexham with Reynolds, was supposed to appear as a TVA agent but his scene was cut from the final version. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye out for it in other screenings. Reynolds assured McElhenney that he will investigate the mishap.
The film also includes references to Wrexham, with one particularly interesting nod to Notts County, a rival of Wrexham in the Vanarama National League.
McElhenney’s potential director’s cut cameo and other fun nods to Wrexham in the film add an extra layer of enjoyment for fans of the team.
Additionally, Wrexham forward Paul Mullin makes a surprise appearance in the movie as a member of the Deadpool Corps from an alternate universe known as Welshpool.
Lastly, another subtle cameo features Wrexham forward Ollie Palmer in a brief appearance during a key scene in the movie.
