David Benavidez displayed his dominance against David Morrell in their recent showdown.
Benavidez successfully defended his interim WBA light heavyweight title and also secured the WBC light heavyweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Morrell in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Despite a competitive fight, Benavidez managed to control the majority of the rounds with his relentless pressure and pace, consistently targeting Morrell’s body and outperforming him throughout the match. While Morrell did manage to hurt Benavidez early on and score a knockdown in the 11th round, a controversial point deduction for landing a punch after the bell ultimately nullified his advantage.
