Tommy Fury has a message for Jake Paul that is anything but friendly.
Recently, “The Problem Child” boldly claimed that he could defeat heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua, stating on his podcast, “I know that I will beat Anthony Joshua.”
He went on to criticize Joshua’s skills, saying, “He doesn’t have a chin, and he has no skill, and he’s stiff. And I love you, Anthony. We’re friends, but I want to fight you.”
This boastful statement is quite bold considering Joshua’s impressive record as a two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist. Fury, who defeated Paul in February 2023, shared his thoughts on a potential Joshua-Paul matchup and expressed doubts about Paul’s chances.
In an Instagram Stories clip, Fury stated, “Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua. Just a reminder that Jake couldn’t beat me even when I had a broken hand. I had one hand and he still lost.”
“Jake Paul, I’m still your daddy,” Fury added. “Don’t bother weighing this fight up, because he’s not worth it. A loss will always be there, Mr. Paul.”
Since transitioning from YouTube and social media to boxing, Paul has garnered attention with an 11-1 record, facing notable MMA opponents like Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Nate Diaz. He recently fought Mike Tyson in a highly anticipated event broadcasted on Netflix.
Fury’s victory remains the only blemish on Paul’s record, a fact that Fury doesn’t hesitate to mention. He is currently awaiting his next fight after pulling out of a matchup with Darren Till due to concerns about Till using MMA techniques.
Paul responded to Fury’s comments by calling him “Tommy Fumbles Fury.”
Tommy Fumbles Fury…the ship has sailed mate. I’m trying to build the sport. You are trying to make a payday and hit the pub. No judgement. We are just different. https://t.co/cp2vf628sG
