The UFC has recently announced three exciting new matchups for its upcoming March 8 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas. One of the featured fights will see the return of The Ultimate Fighter featherweight winner Mairon Santos as he takes on Francis Marshall. Additionally, fans can look forward to Alex Morono facing off against Carlos Leal in a welterweight showdown, and flyweights Bruno Silva and Joshua Van squaring off in March.
These matchups were confirmed by MMA Fighting, following reports from Ag. Fight and Octagon Updates.
While the headlining attraction for UFC 313 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has yet to be announced, these newly added bouts are sure to bring plenty of excitement to fight fans.
Santos, with a record of 14-1, earned his spot in the TUF 32 final by defeating Edwin Cooper Jr. and Guillermo Torres before securing a knockout victory over Kaan Ofli.
Marshall, with a record of 8-2, will be looking to build on his UFC record of 2-2 after a split decision win over Dennis Buzukja in August 2024.
Morono, with a record of 24-11, 1 no contest, is eager to bounce back after losing four of his last six UFC fights, including decisions to Niko Price and Daniel Rodriguez.
Leal, with a record of 21-6, is seeking his first UFC victory after a debut loss against Rinat Fakhretdinov at UFC 308. He aims to turn things around after leaving the PFL in 2023.
Van, with a record of 12-2, will be looking to extend his two-fight win streak when he faces Silva (14-6-2, 1 no contest), who suffered a knockout loss at the recent UFC Tampa event.
